The fifth grade had another wonderful week of school.  I hope they are enjoying it as much as I am.

The class is still struggling with division with two digit divisors.  This process is impossible if they do not know their multiplication tables.  Please, please drill your child daily with some flashcards to work on this area.  They must know the multiplication tables 1-12.  Thank you for your support. 

Also, many are behind on their AR points.  Please encourage your child to read.  I know we all have a busy schedule, but Reading helps your child in ALL subject areas!  The more they read, the better speller they become and comprehension in all subjects is improved!! I only want the best for your child!

September 3 - Labor Day! No School!!
September 9 - Mid-term AR points due (Should have minimum of 7.5 pts.)
September 14 - Fifth grade concession stand at football game ( more info. later)
September 11 -  Comment Reports sent home
September 27 - Parent- Teacher conferences (school dismisses at 12:30)
October 8 - Columbus Day!  No School!!
